Candid Conversation with God, Our Mentor

My Almighty God,

If I were, to be honest, right now, life is hard. It is full of brokenness, heartache, anxiety, and fear.

Over the years, you have shown me there are two kinds of fears. First, there is Worldly Fear: Fear of the unknown and unexpected. This fear is produced when I put my hope in this world. To put my hope in our world is scary and will only create fear and anxiety. Fortunately, there is Godly Fear. Godly Fear is standing in awe of the One who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and always present. Godly Fear causes us to live in WHO our Almighty God is and find our hope IN you.

Today in the midst of difficulty, I stand in awe and put my hope in my Almighty Father. I remember who created me, you. I remember who will sustain me, you. And I remember who promises to always be with me, you.

Your Child Who Stands In Awe

My Dear Child,

I am your Almighty Father who will never leave you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8). Remember to find your strength in me and not in this world. For I promise you in this world you will face troubles of many kinds, but take heart, I have overcome the world (John 16:33). I will help you overcome the brokenness and difficulties you are facing. Take heart, my child.

Your Almighty God

How has Jesus been an Almighty Father to you?

The Practice of Worship: Worship begins when we take time to intentionally cherish God above all else. Worship reveals what is important to us. Show your Almighty God that you love him through worship:

1. Take some time and quietly praise God for all the mighty things He has done in your life.

2. Pray over any areas of your life that you need your Almighty God’s provision, care, and help.
